In a display of gratitude and unity, the Ghana Cooperative Pharmacists Credit Union Limited (GCPCUL) held a special thanksgiving service on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Perez Chapel International. This event followed the union’s successful 37th Annual General Meeting, which took place on Thursday, July 11 at the Accra Ridge Church Conference Hall.
The service brought together the newly elected Board of Directors, staff, and members of GCPCUL, all gathered to express their appreciation for the union’s achievements in the past financial year and to seek divine guidance for the future.
Key highlights of the Thanksgiving service included:
1. A special offering made by the union, symbolizing their gratitude for the past year’s successes.
2. Archbishop Charles Agyin-Asare, the founder and leader of Perez Chapel International, led the congregation in prayer and thanksgiving.
3. The Archbishop acknowledged the accomplishments of the outgoing Board of Directors, led by Richard Acheampong.
4. A blessing was bestowed upon the incoming administration, headed by Dr. Paul Owusu Donkor, with prayers for wisdom and foresight in leading the union forward.
This thanksgiving service not only marks the successful conclusion of the union’s AGM but also signifies a smooth transition of leadership. It underscores GCPCUL’s commitment to spiritual values alongside its financial objectives.
Dr. Paul Owusu Donkor, the newly elected Chairman of the Board, expressed his gratitude for the prayers and support, stating, “We are humbled by the trust placed in us and are committed to building on the strong foundation laid by our predecessors. With divine guidance and the support of our members, we look forward to steering GCPCUL to greater heights.”
The event serves as a promising start for the new administration, setting a tone of unity and purpose as they embark on their four-year tenure. As GCPCUL continues to grow and serve its members, this spiritual affirmation reinforces the union’s dedication to both financial prosperity and ethical leadership in the cooperative finance sector.
