In a significant achievement highlighting GCPCUL’s influence in Ghana’s credit union movement, our Board Chairman, Dr. Paul Owusu Donkor, has led the Tema Chapter of the Credit Union Association to commission two impressive new facilities.

New Facilities Strengthen Credit Union Operations

On Wednesday, May 16, 2025, the Tema Chapter unveiled:

• A fully renovated, modern conference room equipped for meetings and training sessions
• A two-storey residential building with three bedrooms on each floor, serving as accommodation for the regional manager and visiting officials

GCPCUL Leadership Recognition

The ceremony recognized several key GCPCUL figures:

• Dr. Paul Owusu Donkor, current GCPCUL Board Chairman and Tema Chapter Chairman, who led the project to completion
• Mr. Richard Acheampong, CEO of Rokmer Pharmaceuticals Limited and immediate past Tema Chapter Chairman, who was honored with an award for his dedicated service over the past four years
• Mr. Moses Agbezuge, CEO of GCPCUL, who served as a member of the renovation committee and was also recognized with an award for his contributions

“These facilities represent our shared commitment to building stronger credit unions across Ghana,” noted Dr. Donkor during the ceremony. “The collaborative effort behind this project demonstrates how leadership from different sectors of our movement can create lasting value.”
